Today the children drew pictures of the beach and glued actual Durban beach sand onto them in school. When they tried to get back to work, they heard helicopters outside. Turns out there was an airshow, probably at the air force base close to our neighbourhood. They watched two different formations make practice circles - very cool! They then used words and numbers the kids picked to make a story. After lunch we went shopping and then tried a place called Ciao for supper (Italian Mediterranean Cuisine). The food was excellent (and copious) - both the pizzas and the chicken cordon bleu - and we met the owner, a very nice Afrikaner who likes to talk. A lot. :)
